Kahaku's defining action is removing Fushi from his solitude after rival religions begin denouncing him, aiming to improve Fushi's public image. He accompanies Fushi when they are captured by Bon, who had been instructed by the spirit of Tonari to find Fushi. Kahaku's arm contains a Nokker, which warns that the Nokkers will attack the large city Renril in one year. He and Bon gather allies and warn the city while Fushi develops his ability to create objects from nothing.

Kahaku approaches Fushi after two centuries of the immortal's isolation, during which Fushi was regularly visited by Hayase's reincarnations. 'I will remove you from your solitude,' Kahaku declares, 'to further improve your image.' He leads Fushi into the world, but they are soon captured by Bon, who had been sent by Tonari's spirit. Kahaku's arm bears a Nokker, which delivers a dire warning: 'The Nokkers will attack the large city Renril in one year.' With Bon, Kahaku gathers allies and warns the city, while Fushi prepares for the coming battle.
